| Getting into the spirit can sometimes be difficult for many of us. And particularly the last few years struggle with the economy, loss of jobs, etc.; Christmas can be a time that may bring additional stress than any other time of year. To get into the spirit of Christmas we must strive to keep it simple. As simple as we can that is. But there is many things that we can do that will cost little or even no money to provide ourselves and others through the holidays. And may I remind us all...Christmas is not about the high priced item wrapped under the tree. It is about the birth of Christ; time with friends and family; giving to those less fortunate; and fun with the children making gifts, cookies, decorating, and the wonder of Santa. So to help everyone get into the spirit, I wanted to make a few suggestions. Put on some Christmas carols (particularly your favorites), make some of your favorite recipes or try a new one, maintain that tradition you've had all these years or start a new tradition with your family, decorate your home or office, give a toy to a charity for the less fortunate (even one from a dollar store or used toy); or give a free meal to one who you know is all alone on Christmas day; and so many more! Do what feels right to you, and brings you that warm feeling inside that you know is the Christmas spirit. In addition, I'd like to share a few link to some websites that may help you along the way, give you some ideas, etc. So enjoy & Have a super day!
