| Subject: Outside motivators or self motivators, which is stronger? 4/8/2013, 1:34 am | |
| Certainly there are many motivators in life, and all of which are helpful to us. The outside motivators can surely help one to have the desire to do something. And some of these motivators are good, and positive motivators that give us the inspiration to move forward in a positive direction. But when it comes right down to do it, regardless of what it is; one must be self motivated in order to get anything done at all.
These outside motivators can be encouragement from another person; friend or loved one. There can also be outside motivators of strangers whom we can relate to or we are inspired by hearing about their experience in life, the obstacles they faced and over come. There are also outside motivators which come from the blessings that we receive in life. These blessings come in all sizes, and shapes. They give us something to be hopeful for which in turn....bring more blessings. There are also the outside motivators that come to us through lessons learned or perhaps even just circumstances beyond our control. These obstacles have not come into our life to create problems, although we often look at them as such. They are obstacles to help us grow as an individual. And these motivators, even though they can be painful or frustrating, they serve a purpose in which to bring us past these obstacles in life. Perhaps they are lessons of fear, anxiety, responsibility, etc.; lessons to bring you past these moments that are currently holding you back from moving forward in a positive direction. And it is essential that we do move past them.
There are some individuals who are presented with a need to make a change and simply "will not" make the efforts to change the situation for the better; and for these individuals, they continue to find conflict in many areas of their lives. The simple kick in the butt holds no meaning if one doesn't use that kick as a motivator and get moving in the direction they need to be going. And in many cases their opinion is that life has dealt them a short hand, and they feel sorry for themselves. They remain sitting on a pity pot, meanwhile, nothing changes.
With all of the outside motivators that there are in life, certainly they hold an important role in our lives. But when it comes right down to it, we must have self motivation in order to get through it. Even when handed to us on a silver platter, nothing has changed us for the better if we have no self motivation. Many people find this to be true regarding many different issues. For example: financial issues, social issues, etc. However, with the original need to make a change, we are suddenly willing to do what is needed in order to make the necessary changes to better the situation.
With self motivation, regardless of what life delivers, we find that life runs a lot smoother. The blessings in our life are countless and priceless. We are truly grateful for what we have in life, and seek to please others. To bring others the blessings that we receive in life. We find that our lives are already abundantly beautiful just the way it is. We accept this moment, even in the most difficult times, to continue on in life, and to make life the best that we can make it. And we find that our lives are fulfilled in every way. | |
