The debate in your head Empty
PostSubject: The debate in your head   The debate in your head Empty8/26/2014, 12:31 pm

Let's face it, we all have some kind of constant debate in our head that our inner self continues to struggle against. We realize, especially as we age, and become wise to not only our surroundings and this world we live in, but also wise to our own short comings. And we think to ourselves, why do I continue to struggle with this one particular thing?

Most of our life experiences we learn from, and change our way of thinking to better ourselves. But in this case, we have yet to over come this one battle once and for all. And many of us know the answer or the truth to what ever that struggle is; however even though our inner self knows that, the thoughts in our head continue to tell us differently....and we listen, believe in it, and settle for less by doing so, once again.

On a personal note, I personally have always struggled with the confidence to pursue my writing as a career, and to help others through their struggles through life's experiences. While I have made a few cheesy attempts in making something happen, such as my book that I published, and this forum for instance. I have always dove in with the thought in the back of my head "This is it, I'm gonna do this!", and then when I don't see the results or responses from others that I hope for....I give up. But I always return again with another attempt to make it happen, time and time again. Because writing & helping others is who I am, and when I am not doing what I have a passion for, there is always this longing to do so, once again. But the debate in my head tells me "You don't have what it takes.", and my inner self says "This is your calling, Nancy".

So here I am once again, this time with a different approach...a humble one. Instead of using the approach that I have all the answers to life's trials and tribulations, it is the approach that I too have my struggles in life, but perhaps together we can come to a better understanding of ourselves. To move forward in the direction we wish to go in by finally winning that debate once and for all.

So I ask you, what is your debate?
